Sul Dufour 37 sono state introdotte quelle importanti innovazioni che hanno contribuito al successo del Dufour 470: la disposizione della delfiniera, le grandi vetrate sul ponte e di murata, la distribuzione degli spazi esterni che agevolano gli spostamenti sul ponte della barca. Anche il pozzetto è più ampio rispetto alle altre barche a vela di queste dimensioni.
Su questo nuovo modello, così come già avvenuto per gli ultimi modelli della gamma, la priorità è stata data alla vita all’esterno.
Per quanto riguarda le prestazioni marine, questa barca a vela vanta uno scafo moderno e stabile simile a quello delle imbarcazioni per regate d’altura, ma con una parte inferiore dello scafo lievemente arrotondata che favorisce la fenditura delle onde e riduce la rumorosità all’interno della barca.
Questo nuovo scafo migliora considerevolmente il rapporto peso/potenza di questa barca a vela di 10,80 metri fuori tutto: sensazioni al timone più forti che accrescono il piacere del timoniere a qualunque andatura.
Su questo nuovo modello, e rispetto agli altri modelli di questa categoria, l’albero è più lungo e consente di aumentare la superficie velica per migliorare le prestazioni di questa barca a vela.
Il Dufour 37, come il suo predecessore, il Dufour 360, dispone di una timoneria a pala singola e di due timoni a ruota. Il monopala accresce la reattività e la vivacità con tutte le andature.

The important innovations that contributed to the success of the Dufour 470 were introduced on the Dufour 37: the arrangement of the dolphin striker, the large windows on the deck and on the side, the distribution of the external spaces which facilitate movement on the deck of the boat. The cockpit is also larger than other sailboats of this size.
On this new model, as has already happened with the latest models in the range, priority has been given to outdoor living.
In terms of marine performance, this sailboat boasts a modern and stable hull similar to that of offshore racing boats, but with a slightly rounded lower part of the hull which helps break through the waves and reduces interior noise of the boat.
This new hull considerably improves the weight/power ratio of this 10.80 meter overall sailboat: stronger sensations at the helm which increase the helmsman's pleasure at any speed.
On this new model, and compared to the other models in this category, the mast is longer and allows the sail surface to be increased to improve the performance of this sailboat.
The Dufour 37, like its predecessor, the Dufour 360, has a single-blade steering gear and two wheel rudders. The single-blade increases reactivity and liveliness at all speeds.
